By accessing, browsing, or making a purchase (including bakery products or event tickets) from JY Bread House (M) Sdn. Bhd. (“JY Bread House”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your order or registration.

1. General

1.1. These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) govern all transactions made through our official website, including bakery product purchases and event registrations (e.g. Capybara x Bun Fun Run).
1.2. JY Bread House reserves the right to amend or update these T&C at any time without prior notice. The updated version will be posted on our website and shall take immediate effect.
1.3. By continuing to use our website or participate in our events, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the latest version of these T&C.

2. Bakery Product Orders

2.1. Product Availability
All bakery products are freshly made and subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute ingredients or packaging of equal value without prior notice due to supply or production reasons.

2.2. Order & Payment

  • Orders must be placed through our official online store.

  • Full payment must be made at the time of order via the available payment methods.

  • Orders are only confirmed upon successful payment and receipt of confirmation email.

2.3. Delivery & Self-Collection

  • Delivery services are subject to designated coverage areas and delivery fees stated during checkout.

  • Delivery schedules are approximate; delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or operational constraints.

  • For self-collection orders, customers must collect their items at the chosen date, time, and outlet.

  • Uncollected orders after the scheduled collection period will be considered forfeited. No refunds or replacements will be provided.

2.4. Product Quality & Returns

  • All bakery items are perishable and made to order; hence, strictly no returns, exchanges, or refunds once collected or delivered.

  • In case of a damaged, incorrect, or unsatisfactory product, customers must report the issue immediately upon receipt (with photographic evidence).

  • Complaints made after the same day of delivery or collection will not be entertained.

3. Event Participation – Capybara x Bun Fun Run

3.1. Registration

  • All participants must register via the official registration channel provided by JY Bread House.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that all personal details provided are accurate and complete.

  • We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or disqualify any registration that is incomplete, fraudulent, or violates event rules.

3.2. Eligibility

  • Participants must be physically fit and in good health to take part.

  • Minors (below 18 years old) must obtain parental or guardian consent prior to registration.

3.3. Event Kit & Collection

  • Event kits (e.g. t-shirts, medals, or other merchandise) must be collected at the designated venue, date, and time announced.

  • No shipping or delivery will be arranged unless otherwise stated.

  • Failure to collect within the given period will result in forfeiture without refund.

3.4. Event Changes & Cancellations

  • JY Bread House reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event at its sole discretion.

  • In the event of force majeure (e.g. severe weather, government restrictions, safety risks), the event may be converted into a virtual event or deemed successfully completed with the distribution of entitlements.

  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations due to force majeure.

3.5. Liability & Indemnity

  • JY Bread House, its staff, sponsors, and partners will not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or death arising from participation.

  • Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless JY Bread House from any claims resulting from their participation.

3.6. Media & Privacy

  • By participating, you consent to JY Bread House’s use of your photographs, videos, or likeness for promotional purposes without further notice or compensation.

  • Personal data collected will be used strictly for event management, communication, and marketing purposes in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010.

4. Return & Refund Policy

4.1. Bakery Products

  • Due to the perishable nature of our products, all sales are final.

  • Refunds or exchanges are only allowed if the wrong item was delivered or if the product was damaged upon delivery (with proof submitted within the same day).

4.2. Event Registration Fees

  • All registration fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

    • Personal schedule conflicts

    • Medical conditions

    • Failure to attend

    • Weather or unforeseen circumstances

4.3. Postponement & Cancellation Policy

  • If an event is postponed, participants will automatically be transferred to the new date.

  • Participants who wish to opt out must email a refund request within 3 working days from the announcement date.

  • Approved refunds (if any) will be processed within 14 working days.

  • If the event is cancelled due to normal circumstances, a full refund will be provided within 14 working days.

  • In case of cancellation due to force majeure, no refunds will be made, but entitlements (e.g. medals, merchandise) will still be distributed.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1. All content, images, logos, and designs on the JY Bread House website are the intellectual property of JY Bread House (M) Sdn. Bhd. and may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.

6. Governing Law

6.1. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
6.2. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
